About This Site

chromebook-scheme.online is an independent information guide about the Prime Minister's Youth Chromebook Scheme in Pakistan. We explain the scheme in plain language so students and parents can understand it without reading through official circulars and board notices.

Here you will find who is eligible in each province and region, how the 500,000 Chromebooks are divided between school and seminary students, how the science and arts quota works, how each device is linked to a student's name and delivered by courier, and how this scheme differs from the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme for university students.

Why does this site exist? When the scheme launched in October 2026, the basic facts were scattered — a line in a news report here, an eligibility note on the IBCC portal there, and a lot of confusion in between. Students kept asking the same questions: I am in Grade 10, can I apply? I go to a private school, am I covered? My name is not on the portal, what do I do? This site pulls the verified answers into one place and keeps them in one clear order.

Everything published here is checked against the official IBCC portal (pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk) and reporting from established Pakistani news outlets. When the rules are stated by the Prime Minister's Youth Programme or a board, we say so. When something is not officially confirmed, we say that too.

One thing to be clear about: this is a guide, not a government website. We are not IBCC, not the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, and not any education board. We cannot select students, change a board's list, or accept applications. Applications happen only on the official portal.

Students and parents share their experiences with the scheme in the community discussions on this site — records not found, delivery updates, board list news. Reading those reports is often the fastest way to learn what is actually happening in your district right now.
