This page explains what information chromebook-scheme.online collects, why, and what we never collect. It is written in plain words, because a privacy policy you can't understand isn't worth much.

What we collect

Like most websites, this site automatically receives basic technical information when you visit: your browser type, device type, the pages you open, and the time of your visit. This is used in aggregate to understand which guides students read most, so we can improve them. It is not used to identify you personally.

If you take part in the community discussions on this site, the name and comment you choose to post are shown publicly with your post. Only share what you are comfortable making public — never post your CNIC number, B-Form number, roll number or home address in a comment.

What we never collect

We never ask for, and you should never send us, your CNIC or B-Form copies, mark sheets, photographs, date of birth documents, or any file meant for your Chromebook application. Applications and document uploads happen only on the official IBCC portal. This site has no application form and no upload facility for the scheme, by design.

We do not sell personal information. We do not run marketing lists built from student data, and we do not share discussion posts with advertisers in a way that identifies individual readers.

Cookies and advertising

This site may use cookies to remember basic preferences and to measure visits. Advertising partners, if ads are shown, may use their own cookies to serve and measure ads; those partners operate under their own privacy policies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time — the guides on this site will still work.

Our guides link to official sources such as the IBCC portal and, where relevant, education board websites. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies. In particular, any information you enter on the IBCC application portal is handled by IBCC under its own rules.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. If you have a privacy question, raise it in the community discussions on this site and we will respond there.
